“उन्हें (भाजपा) कहते हैं कि केजरीवाल ₹ 1,000 प्रति महिला को देकर पैसे बर्बाद कर रहे हैं। मैं उनसे पूछता हूँ, जब आपने बड़ी राशि के कई लोगों के ऋण माफ किए तो क्या वे बिगड़े नहीं थे?” मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा। “अब तक, सशक्तिकरण के नाम पर धोखा होता आ रहा है। अब मैं हर महिला की पर्स में हर महीने हजार रुपये डालूंगा। एक खाली पर्स सशक्तिकरण नहीं करता,” उन्होंने कल कहा।

Addressing the crowd, Kejriwal made a bold statement, saying, “Many men are chanting PM Modi’s name, only you can set it right. If your husband says he’ll vote for PM Modi, tell him you won’t serve him dinner.” He encouraged women to leverage their influence within their households by compelling their husbands to pledge their support to the AAP. Kejriwal asserted, “Every husband has to listen to his wife. Isn’t it? And if a wife makes him swear on her, he is bound to follow her.”

Highlighting the AAP’s achievements, Kejriwal pointed out the significant strides made in providing essential services to the citizens of Delhi. “Tell them, Kejriwal has made your electricity free, bus tickets free, and now he is giving ₹1,000 to women. What has BJP done for them? Then why vote for BJP?” he questioned.

The Delhi government recently announced its budget, introducing the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana,’ which promises to provide ₹1,000 to all women above 18 years of age. Kejriwal defended this initiative against criticisms from the BJP, stating, “They (BJP) say Kejriwal is wasting the money by giving ₹1,000 to every woman in the city. I ask them when you waived off big loans of a lot of people, weren’t they spoilt?”

In a passionate plea for women’s empowerment, Kejriwal criticized the traditional approaches adopted by political parties and promised tangible support for women. “Till now, fraud has been going on in the name of empowerment. Till now, they used to praise a woman from the party and say that women were being empowered. Now I will put a thousand rupees in every woman’s purse every month. An empty purse does not do empowerment,” he declared.
