Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini assured the state’s farmers that there is no shortage of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer, emphasizing the availability of sufficient stock across the region.
Speaking in the Haryana Assembly during a discussion on DAP supplies, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s preparedness to meet agricultural demands. “We have comprehensive data on the availability of DAP at every Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS). If any member seeks this information, it will be provided immediately,” he said, dismissing rumors of shortages.
Highlighting his connection to agriculture as a farmer’s son, CM Saini underscored his understanding of the criticality of timely fertilizer supplies. He revealed that Haryana received an allocation of 1,10,200 metric tons of DAP for November and assured farmers that the state’s stock is sufficient for current and future needs.
Responding to specific concerns, the Chief Minister provided data for districts such as Sirsa, where the DAP stock increased from 1,063 metric tons on October 1, 2024, to 2,217 metric tons as of November 18. Similarly, Hisar holds 2,087 metric tons of stock—216 metric tons more than the previous year’s supply.
Saini criticized the spread of misinformation regarding DAP availability, attributing it to attempts to mislead and unsettle farmers. He urged the farming community to remain confident, reiterating, “There is no shortage of DAP in Haryana; the state is fully equipped to meet the demand.”
This proactive approach reflects the government’s commitment to addressing agricultural concerns, ensuring uninterrupted farming operations during the Rabi season.
