PM Modi Slams Congress Over Religious Reservation and Inheritance Tax Plans

In a fiery speech delivered at a poll rally in Ambikapur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing them of harboring divisive agendas and seeking to undermine the country’s progress. Modi accused the Congress of catering to vote banks and attempting to implement reservation based on religion, a move that goes against the principles of social justice and equality enshrined in the Constitution.

Addressing the gathering in Surguja district, Chhattisgarh, Modi highlighted the Congress’s purported agenda to introduce inheritance tax, which he argued would encroach upon the rights of citizens and their children. He criticized the Congress’s alleged alignment with forces seeking to weaken the government, emphasizing the need for a self-reliant India to safeguard national interests.

Modi drew parallels between the Congress’s manifesto and the ideology of the Muslim League, insinuating that the former’s policies echoed divisive sentiments. He emphasized the importance of upholding the principles laid down by Babasaheb Ambedkar, particularly regarding reservation, which was intended to empower marginalized communities such as Dalits and tribals.

Referring to historical instances where the Congress attempted to implement religious reservation, Modi warned against the party’s purported intentions to dilute existing quotas for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes. He accused the Congress of disregarding constitutional principles and attempting to usurp the rights of disadvantaged groups for political gain.

Modi reiterated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s commitment to protecting reservation and ensuring social justice for all citizens. He accused the Congress of harboring ulterior motives, including plans to impose inheritance tax and redistribute wealth, thereby threatening the livelihoods of hardworking individuals and families.

The Prime Minister condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s proposal to conduct an “X-ray” of citizens’ properties, alleging that the party sought to confiscate assets and redistribute them arbitrarily. Modi cautioned against the Congress’s alleged agenda to target the middle class and impose burdensome taxes, including inheritance tax on assets passed down from parents.

In a bid to rally support for the BJP, Modi warned voters of the “dangerous intentions” of the Congress, urging them to reject divisive politics and uphold the values of social justice and secularism. He underscored the BJP’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of all citizens and ensuring inclusive growth for the nation.

In conclusion, Modi reiterated his condemnation of the Congress’s alleged divisive tactics and urged voters to support the BJP’s vision for a prosperous and unified India.
