Police caught one while blackmailing tickets for India- New Zealand match in Dharamsala
Dharamsala (Arvind Sharma) 20/10/23
Himachal Pradesh Police have apprehended an individual involved in the black marketing of tickets for the upcoming Cricket World Cup match between India and New Zealand, scheduled for October 22 in Dharamshala. During the arrest, the police found two mobile phones, several tickets, and cash in the possession of the accused.
ASP Hitesh Lakhanpal informed that the suspect, originally from Hyderabad, was apprehended in close proximity to the stadium. Law enforcement is currently working to identify any additional individuals involved in this operation. Given that all available tickets for the match, considering the stadium’s capacity, have been officially sold, the police suspect that black marketing of tickets is taking place.
The India vs. New Zealand match in Dharamsala is highly anticipated, and some disappointed fans who couldn’t obtain tickets through official channels may be seeking them on the black market. The public is cautioned to remain vigilant because individuals currently selling tickets and certain social media platforms claiming to have tickets available could potentially be selling
counterfeit tickets. In case of any such information, the public is urged to promptly inform the police.
