Himachal Pradesh is ablaze with festivities and joy as it commemorates its 52nd anniversary of achieving full statehood. Back in 1971, this picturesque region was officially recognized as the 18th state of India.
In a significant announcement, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur unveils measures to alleviate the burden on domestic electricity consumers in Himachal Pradesh. Under the new policy, households consuming up to 60 units per month will enjoy electricity free of charge, while those consuming up to 125 units will be charged a nominal fee of Re 1 per unit. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring access to essential services while promoting energy conservation and affordability for all residents of the state.
