In a momentous occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated seven significant projects of SJVN, marking a leap towards sustainable energy infrastructure with an investment of 5515 crores.

Highlighting the nation’s commitment to renewable energy, four power stations were dedicated to the nation, including the 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station in Uttarakhand, and three solar power stations in Uttar Pradesh – 75 MW each at Parasan, Gurhah, and 50 MW at Gujrai.

Additionally, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for three key projects: the 382 MW Sunni Dam Hydro Electric Project and the 15 MW Nangal Floating Solar Power Project in Himachal Pradesh, along with a 70 MW Solar Project in Assam. These ventures align with the national objective of achieving a net-zero carbon emission economy by 2070.

The ceremony held in Telangana witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, reflecting the collective commitment towards sustainable development.

Expressing gratitude, SJVN’s Chairman and Managing Director, Geeta Kapur, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership towards ensuring uninterrupted, reliable, and affordable power supply to all. She reiterated SJVN’s pledge to contribute to the goal of achieving 500 GW installed capacity from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources by 2030.

The seven projects, collectively boasting a capacity of 727 MW, are poised to generate 2255 million units of energy annually, significantly reducing carbon emissions by 20,10,941 tonnes per year. #CleanPowerGeneration #CarbonReduction #EnergyEfficiency
