Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi, where they discussed various welfare schemes being implemented in Haryana, particularly the Agniveer program. The Prime Minister showed special interest in the scheme aimed at benefiting Agniveers, highlighting its significance for the welfare of veterans.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Saini informed Prime Minister Modi about the substantial benefits provided to Agniveers in Haryana, including a 10 percent horizontal reservation in government job recruitment, age relaxation of 5 and 3 years according to rules, and interest-free loans up to ₹5 lakhs for employment. He also mentioned that industries employing Agniveers would receive a rebate of ₹60,000. This comprehensive support reflects the state’s commitment to the welfare of its servicemen.

In a press conference at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, Chief Minister Saini emphasized that the welfare of the poor is paramount in Prime Minister Modi’s vision. He assured that the detailed feedback from the Prime Minister on each scheme confirms that the benefits are reaching the intended recipients. The discussions also covered future development plans and the upcoming assembly elections, with Chief Minister Saini expressing confidence in forming the government for the third time under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

Chief Minister Saini highlighted the significant progress made in Haryana over the past decade, attributing the rapid development to the focused efforts of the state government. The state has witnessed extensive infrastructure improvements, including the construction of four-lane roads, greenfields, and expressways, positioning Haryana as a leader in development across various sectors.

Addressing the opposition’s attempt to challenge Prime Minister Modi during the Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Saini noted that the opposition’s differing ideologies and lack of substantial issues contributed to their failure. He pointed out that the public has recognized the opposition’s reliance on misinformation, reaffirming their support for Prime Minister Modi.

Regarding the demand to create new districts, such as Dabwali, Chief Minister Saini mentioned that the state government has formed a committee to evaluate such requests. The committee will assess the demands based on established parameters to decide on the creation of new districts or blocks.

Principal Local Commissioner Dr. D. Suresh and Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Rajiv Jaitley were also present during the meeting and subsequent press conference.

The Haryana government remains steadfast in its dedication to improving the lives of its residents through innovative welfare schemes and robust development initiatives, ensuring that the state’s progress aligns with the broader national goals envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
