Punjab and Delhi Chief Ministers Pay Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri
Patiala, October 2, 2023: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries.
Paying glowing tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, Mann and Kejriwal said that his life, philosophy, and sacrifice will ever act as a lighthouse and continue to inspire us all for rendering selfless service to the community, society, state, and country. They exhorted the people to follow Gandhi’s philosophy of peace and non-violence to carve out an egalitarian society. They said that Gandhi transformed the Indian freedom struggle into a mass movement which ultimately led to the emancipation of the country from British rule.
