Punjab Chief Minister Announces Rs 2 Crore Financial Assistance to Family of Home Guard Jawan Jaspal Singh
Chandigarh, November 23: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed profound grief over the demise of Home Guard Jawan Jaspal Singh, who died while performing his duty at Sultanpur Lodhi. As a tribute to his service, the Chief Minister announced Rs 2 crore as financial assistance to Jaspal Singh’s family.
Out of the allocated Rs 2 crore, Rs 1 crore will be provided as ex-gratia by the state government, while the remaining Rs 1 crore will be covered under insurance provided by HDFC Bank. Chief Minister Mann acknowledged Jaspal Singh’s immense contribution towards maintaining law and order in the state.
In line with the state government’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of soldiers and their families, Chief Minister Mann emphasized the importance of this financial assistance to Jaspal Singh’s family. He expressed hope that this initiative will provide support and secure their future during this difficult time.
