Under the new policy titled “Policy for Welfare of Adhoc, Contractual, Temporary Teachers (Nation Builders) and other employees in School Education Department,” these teachers will now be referred to as Associate Teachers, Special Inclusive Teachers, and others. Their employment conditions will be governed by this policy, which aims to improve the welfare of adhoc, contractual, and temporary teachers.

According to the Chief Minister, the emoluments of these teachers have been determined based on their educational qualifications and the primary conditions for entering into service. The increased emoluments will be applicable until the teachers complete 58 years of service. Additionally, these teachers will be eligible for an annual increment of 5% on their salaries.

Providing further details, Bhagwant Mann stated that BA pass Education Providers (Associate Teachers) who were previously receiving Rs 9,500 will now receive Rs 20,500 as emoluments. Teachers with ETT and NTT qualifications will receive Rs 22,000 compared to their current salary of Rs 10,250. Similarly, teachers with BA/MA B.Ed. degrees who currently earn Rs 11,000 will now receive emoluments worth Rs 23,500. Furthermore, IEV Volunteers will see an increase from their current salary of Rs 5,500 to an emolument of Rs 15,000.
