Punjab Chief Minister Launches Future Tycoon 2 Start Up Challenge to Boost Entrepreneurial Spirit

In a bid to foster entrepreneurial aspirations among students in the district, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann inaugurated the second edition of the Future Tycoon 2 Start Up Challenge program on Tuesday.
Commending the district administration’s innovative initiative, the Chief Minister, while addressing a state-level event commemorating Independence Day, expressed his belief that this move would significantly contribute to realizing individuals’ dreams of becoming entrepreneurs. Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized that registration is open for four distinct categories, namely Students/Young Entrepreneurs, Female Entrepreneurs, PWD (Persons With Disabilities) Entrepreneurs, and Open Category Entrepreneurs.
Winners of the challenge will be awarded financial assistance amounting to Rs 50,000 in each category, along with additional support from both the state government and the district administration. As part of the registration process, applicants can avail guidance and assistance from the District Bureau of Employment and Entrepreneurship in Patiala.
The Chief Minister’s vision for this ambitious initiative revolves around its potential to invigorate economic activity within the region by providing a robust platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas and talents.
It is worth noting that the inaugural edition of the Future Tycoon Start Up Challenge took place in 2022, garnering an overwhelming response. With the participation of approximately 418 individuals, the district administration witnessed a surge in business and trade ideas. The program resulted in the identification of four winners across the four specified categories. These winners not only received monetary assistance but also invaluable support from both the state government and district administration.
The launch of the Future Tycoon 2 Start Up Challenge marks another significant step in nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship among the youth of the district.
