Punjab PCS Exam 2025: Opportunities Open for 322 Prestigious Posts

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced the much-anticipated notification for the Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination-2025 (PSCSCCE-2025), aimed at filling 322 coveted government posts. This recruitment drive marks the return of the PCS exam after a five-year gap, with the last exam conducted in 2020.

The preliminary examination is tentatively scheduled for April 2025, as per the notification issued on January 2. The PSCSCCE-2025 seeks to fill positions across various departments, including the Punjab Civil Service (executive branch), deputy superintendent of police, tehsildar, food and civil supplies officer, block development and panchayat officer, assistant registrar cooperative societies, labour-cum-conciliation officer, employment generation and skill development officer, excise and taxation officer, and deputy superintendent of jails (Grade-II)/district probation officer.

The distribution of posts includes 48 for PCS executive branch, 17 for DSP, 27 for tehsildar, 121 for excise and taxation officer, 13 for food and civil supplies officer, 49 for block development and panchayat officer, 21 for assistant registrar cooperative societies, three for labour-cum-conciliation officer, 12 for employment generation and skill development officer, and 13 for deputy superintendent of jails (Grade-II)/district probation officer.

Eligible candidates must be between 21 and 37 years of age as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxation of up to 42 years is available for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab (except for Punjab Police Service and Punjab Prisons Service). Punjab government employees, as well as staff from boards, corporations, and state and central government offices, are eligible for relaxation up to 45 years. However, no relaxation is provided for Punjab Police Service candidates.
