
Punjab Police Reshuffle: 21 IPS Officers Transferred, Major Administrative Overhaul

(Kumar Soni) – The Punjab government has executed a major reshuffle in the state police administration, transferring 21 IPS officers, including Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapn Sharma. This restructuring aims to enhance law enforcement efficiency and strengthen security across the state.
In one of the key changes, IPS officer Dhanpreet Kaur has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police for Jalandhar, replacing Swapn Sharma, who has now been posted as DIG, Ferozepur Range. The reshuffle also includes the appointment of two new DIGs, alongside the reassignment of nine Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs).
Maninder Singh Appointed as SSP Rural Amritsar
IPS officer Maninder Singh has been appointed as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rural, Amritsar. He will be replacing SSP Charanjit Singh in this role.
Prior to this appointment, Maninder Singh served as the ADC to the Governor of Punjab. He is a 2019 batch IPS officer and has now been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing law enforcement in rural areas of Amritsar.

- Swapan Sharma, IPS (2011) – Formerly Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, he has been transferred to DIG, Ferozepur Range, Ferozepur.
- Gulneet Singh Khurana, IPS (2011) – Previously AIG, Personnel Policy, Punjab, Chandigarh, he is now posted as SSP, Hoshiarpur, replacing Sh. Surendra Lamba, IPS.
- Surendra Lamba, IPS (2013) – Formerly SSP, Hoshiarpur, he has now been appointed as AIG, Personnel-1, Punjab, Chandigarh.
- Dayama Harish Kumar Omprakash, IPS (2013) – Previously SSP, Gurdaspur, he has been transferred to AIG, Intelligence, Punjab, Chandigarh.
- Saumya Mishra, IPS (2014) – Previously SSP, Ferozepur, she has now been posted as AIG, Personnel-III, Punjab, Chandigarh, replacing Sh. Abhilasha Kumari Jain, IPS.
- Sandeep Kumar Malik, IPS (2015) – Formerly SSP, Barnala, he has been transferred as SSP, Hoshiarpur, replacing Sh. Gulneet Singh Khurana, IPS.
- Ravjot Grewal, IPS (2016) – Previously SSP, Fatehgarh Sahib, she has been posted as SSP, Ludhiana Rural, replacing Sh. Navneet Singh Bains, IPS.

- Dr. Jyoti Yadav, IPS (2019) – Previously SP, Investigation, SAS Nagar, she has now been transferred as SSP, Khanna, replacing Sh. Ashwini Gotyal, IPS.
- Randhir Kumar, IPS (2019) – Previously SP, Investigation, Ferozepur, he has now been transferred as ADC to Hon’ble Governor, Punjab, replacing Sh. Maninder Singh, IPS.
