Punjab Police’s AGTF Scores Major Victory: Arrests Lawrence Bishnoi & Goldy Brar Gang Operative, Seizes Weapon & Luxury Vehicle

Chandigarh, December 28, 2023: In a significant breakthrough for the ongoing campaign to restore peace and security in Punjab, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police has apprehended a key member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gang in Mohali. This vital arrest not only prevents potential crimes but also sheds light on the gang’s cross-border smuggling activities.

The arrested individual is identified as Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky, a resident of Satiyewala, Ferozepur.Vicky, with a history of at least 20 heinous crimes across Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan, was wanted for murder, attempted murder, Arms Act violations, and UAPA offenses. Police recovered a Chinese .30 caliber pistol with eight live cartridges and confiscated Vicky’s Toyota Fortuner car.

Acting on reliable intelligence, AGTF teams, led by ADGP Promod Ban, AIG Gurmeet Singh Chauhan, and DSP Bikramjit Singh Brar, tracked down and apprehended Vicky from his hideout in Mohali’s Sector 91.Initial investigations reveal Vicky’s involvement in a cross-border weapon and drug smuggling network, facilitated by Pakistani agencies, Goldy Brar, and a US-based contact named Saba.

The accused was reportedly tasked with eliminating a rival gang member from the Davinder Bambiha group.Shockingly, Vicky was implicated as a co-shooter in the 2018 murder of a rival gang member, Jordan, at a Ganganagar, Rajasthan gym, alongside the deceased gangster Ankit Bhadu. Following Bhadu’s neutralization in a police operation in 2019, Vicky assumed his position within the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gang, actively participating in criminal activities across three states.

Further investigations are underway to delve deeper into Vicky’s criminal activities and dismantle the weapon/drug smuggling chain of the gang. An FIR under Section 25 of the Arms Act has been registered at Police Station State Crime, SAS Nagar.
