Following reports of police using force against protesting farmers aiming to reach Delhi, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan issued a strong statement condemning the action. He termed it a “sheer violation of democratic rights” and urged the Union government to engage in an open and honest dialogue with the farmers to address their “genuine demands.”
