Rahul Gandhi Unveils Congress’ ‘Five Guarantees for Women,’ Promises Immediate Implementation if Voted to Power

During a Women’s Rights and Justice Meeting, Rahul Gandhi introduced the Congress party’s ‘Five Guarantees for Women,’ emphasizing their commitment to uplift half of the country’s population. These guarantees include financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to each woman in a poor family, 50 reservations in Central government jobs for women, and initiatives like Mahalaxmi, Aadhi Abadi-Pura Haq, Shakti Sanman, Adhikar Maitri, and Savitribai Phule Hostels. Rahul Gandhi criticized the Central government for neglecting women’s issues and pledged immediate implementation of women-centric policies upon assuming power. The Congress aims to increase women’s representation in all sectors, conduct Caste Census and Economic Survey, and ensure participatory justice for farmers and youth. Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba highlighted the party’s efforts in empowering women through various laws. Senior party leaders including AICC General Secretary Ramesh Chennithala and state President Nana Patole were present. The announcement comes as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which entered Maharashtra and will conclude in Mumbai this weekend.
