Renowned Cine Star Kumud Mishra Leads Stellar Performance of “Purane Chawal” at DG NCC Auditorium

The Georgians Association Delhi (GAD) organized an unforgettable cultural event on June 7, 2024, at the DG NCC Auditorium, Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt. The highlight of the evening was the Hindi comedy play “Purane Chawal,” performed by the celebrated actor Kumud Mishra and his talented team. This maiden large-scale cultural event by GAD saw a remarkable turnout, with attendees ranging from the 1950 to 2023 batches, including officers and cadets of DG NCC.

The event was graced by distinguished guests such as Lt Col ML Yadav, the oldest Georgian from the 1950 batch, and his wife, as well as former Election Commissioner and Vice President of ADB, Shri Ashok Lavasa, and his wife. The audience was enthralled by the comedic prowess and dynamic performance of the actors, enjoying the show in the elegant and comfortable ambiance of the DG NCC auditorium. GAD extends its heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their cooperation and adherence to event guidelines, which contributed to the event’s smooth execution. The evening concluded with the felicitation of the “Purane Chawal” team by both GAD and DG NCC, along with recognition of illustrious Georgians for their outstanding contributions, including Vice Admiral Satish Ghormade and Shri Bimlendra Jha. Special thanks were conveyed to Care India Finvest Limited and several dedicated Georgians for their efforts in organizing this successful event. The heartfelt gratitude was also extended to Hon’ble President GAD, Lt Gen Gurbir Pal Singh, and Hon’ble Chairman GAD, Lt Gen SN Handa, for their invaluable support and administrative arrangements. The evening not only celebrated Georgian talent but also strengthened the bonds within the Georgian fraternity.
