The conflict between Punjab’s farmers and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has escalated, with the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) firmly stating that their demands are directed solely at the Punjab government and not at the central government. This statement came in response to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s repeated claims that the farmers’ demands were a matter for the central government to address, not the state. In a bold move, the SKM has invited CM Mann for an open debate on March 10 to discuss their grievances directly.

The farmers clarified that they are not seeking resolutions from the central government but want the Punjab administration to take responsibility and act on their demands. The SKM has also announced a protest outside the residences of Punjab’s MLAs and ministers on March 10, from 11 AM to 3 PM, emphasizing their dissatisfaction with the state government’s approach.
