RS Bali Directs Officials to Prioritize Rural Development and Address Public Issues Swiftly

 

RS Bali, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Corporation with cabinet rank, emphasized the need for comprehensive rural development. In a public meeting at the IPH Rest House in Nagrota on August 21, Bali directed departmental officials to formulate an action plan to enhance rural infrastructure and services. He stressed that the state government has initiated various schemes to improve the quality of life in rural areas, including better roads, healthcare, and education.

Bali highlighted the government’s efforts to ensure that essential amenities, such as piped water supply, reach every household in the Nagrota Vidhan Sabha constituency. He also prioritized the empowerment of women’s self-help groups, stating that new “Him Ira” shops will be established to market their products, thereby boosting their economic independence.

Bali reiterated his commitment to continuing the development legacy of GS Bali, noting that Nagrota will be developed as a model constituency in Himachal Pradesh. He assured residents that there would be no shortage of funds for ongoing development projects and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for sanctioning new recruitments at Tanda Medical College, which will improve healthcare services for the region’s residents.

The meeting was attended by SDM Kangra Munish Sharma, officials from various departments, and senior leaders including Pratap Riyad, Arun Katoch, Ajay Siphiya, Sonu Katoch, and Rahul Dhiman.
