“SAD Announces First List of Candidates for Lok Sabha Elections on Khalsa Sirjana Divas”
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) unveiled its initial roster of candidates for the impending Lok Sabha elections, marking the occasion on Khalsa Sirjana Divas. SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal disclosed the names of seven prominent party leaders slated to contest in the parliamentary polls.
According to the announced lineup, Daljit Singh Cheema will vie for the Gurdaspur seat, while former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra will represent Anandpur Sahib. Former Dera Bassi MLA NK Sharma is nominated for the Patiala constituency, and ex-minister Anil Joshi will contest from Amritsar.
Bikramjit Singh Khalsa will be the candidate for Fatehgarh Sahib, and Rajwinder Singh, grandson of Gurdev Singh Badal, will compete in Faridkot. Additionally, Iqbal Singh Jhoonda will represent the party in Sangrur. Voting for the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab is scheduled for June 1.
