Satya Pal Jain celebrated “Rakhi” with Underprivileged women

Chandigarh 10 August, 2022.

Centre for Social Work and Girls Hostel no. 8, Panjab University, Chandigarh marked the festival of Raksha Bandhan with HIV positive women. These women had come from different parts from the state of Punjab.

Satya Pal Jain, Former Member of Parliament and Additional Solicitor General of India was the Chief Guest on this occasion. While motivating the young students on this occasion Sh. Satya Pal Jain said that, these are our real warriors, who had fought the war of Stigma and Discrimination against the society. He appericiated the efforts made by Gaurav Gaur, Chairperson, Centre for Social Work and Simran Kaur, Warden, Girls hostel no.8, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Dr Tamana Sherawat, Warden, Girls hostel no. 4 also graced the occasion.

The event was attended by various research scholars, hostelers and other students.
