Schools will open in 7 subdivisions of Kangra district from 10 am instead of 9 am :DC Kangra

All government and private schools in 7 subdivisions of Kangra district will now open from 10 am. DC Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal has issued these orders keeping in view the increased outbreak of mist and fog in these sub-divisions due to fall in temperature in the district. This order will be applicable from 8 to 31 January 2023.

Orders will be applicable in these seven subdivisions of the district, namely Jwalamukhi, Indora, Fatehpur, Nurpur, Jwali, Dehra and Jaisinghpur as weather conditions are worsening here  due to continuous falling temperature  which   increased haze and fog in the area

Dr. Nipun Jindal said that it has been observed that due to dense fog in these sub-divisions, the visibility on the road has become very low in the morning hours due to which children are finding it difficult to reach school at 9 am as such the school opening time in 7 sub-divisions of the district has been changed to 10 am instead of 9 am. The Deputy Directors of Higher and Elementary Education of the Education Department have been asked to fix the time of closing the school in the evening according to the timing of opening of the school.

He said that concerned SDMs and Deputy Directors of Education have been asked to ensure compliance of the order and take action as per rules against those who disobey.
