Scientific Workshop on Oral Health Conducted in Chandigarh

The Health Department, U.T. Chandigarh, conducted a one-day scientific workshop on oral health under the National Oral Health Programme. The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Ajay Chagti, Health Secretary, UT Chandigarh, Dr. Suman Singh, Director Health Services, UT Chandigarh, Dr. Charru Singla, Nodal Officer, National Health Mission, Dr. KS Bal, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Davinder Kumar, Head of Dental Department, and Dr. Charan Kamal Kaur, Programme Officer, National Oral Health Programme.

Dr. Ajay Logani, Professor and Head of Division of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, CDER, AIIMS, New Delhi, was the guest speaker. He delivered lectures on updating the knowledge of dentists regarding traumatic dental injuries, endodontic emergencies, and rotary instrumentation.

The program was attended by dental doctors from the Health Department, Chandigarh Administration; Oral Health Science Centre, PGIMER Chandigarh; Department of Dentistry, GMCH-32 Chandigarh; and Punjab University H S JUDGE Dental College Chandigarh.

The workshop was a success and helped to update the knowledge of dentists on important topics in oral health.
