In a significant political endorsement, former Chief Minister and Union Minister, Shanta Kumar, has urged voters in Kangra Chamba to support BJP candidate Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj in the upcoming parliamentary elections. In a statement released today, Shanta Kumar praised Dr. Bhardwaj as  a highly capable leader, noting that due to his own advancing age and health concerns, he would be unable to campaign extensively but remained committed to promoting Dr. Bhardwaj’s candidacy.

Shanta Kumar highlighted the importance of this election as a pivotal moment for democracy and development in India. He expressed confidence in the continued leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suggesting that his re-election would lead to a historic era of progress following the construction of the Ram temple. According to Kumar, Dr. Bhardwaj is poised to significantly contribute to the development of the Kangra Chamba area and deserves full public support.

It is to add here that Bjp has ignored its sitting MP, a Gaddi tribe leader, to give ticket to young Brahmin leader Bhardwaj, whereas Congress has yet to announce its candidate for this seat. The polling for this seat shall be conducted on 1^st June and the result is slated to be declared on 4^th of June.
