This is clear, 9 MLAs has voted in favour of Harsh Mahajan and this has created a big problem for the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh.
This is confirmed by Ravi Thakur MLA from Lahaul Spiti. He said that they have taken this decision in the favour of the people of the State and in the favour of their constituency. He said that present government is facing many issues and financial crunch is one major issue which is not being handled by the present government effectively. He said that this is the need of the hour and this decision of casting vote in favour of Harsh Mahajan will solve many problems. He said that Mr Harsh has his proximity with central government and with leader ship, and this will certainly help the people of the State. Harsh Mahajan was earlier in the Congress and he has many sympathisers with in the Congress party and this is also the one of the reasons.
In a significant turn of events, 9 MLAs have defied party lines to support BJP’s Harsh Mahajan in today’s Rajya Sabha elections in Himachal Pradesh. Noteworthy names among them include Chetanya, Ravi Thakur, Surinder Singh Mankotia, Devender Kumar Bhutto, Hoshiar Singh, Aashish, Sudhir Sharma, and Rajinder Rana. Their decision is fueled by the belief that Harsh Mahajan’s connections with central leaders can bring crucial funds to the state, addressing its financial challenges. Formerly associated with the Congress party, Mahajan’s ties with both BJP and Congress figures position him strategically to benefit the state. This unexpected shift poses challenges for Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s government during the ongoing budget session, potentially prompting a demand for a majority proof. The political landscape in Himachal Pradesh is undergoing a noteworthy transformation with these unexpected alliances.
