SJVN Secures 100 MW Solar Project in Gujarat: Boosting Clean Energy and Portfolio

Shimla, January 25, 2024: SJVN Limited, a leading Indian public sector undertaking in the hydropower sector, has emerged victorious in the e-reverse auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for a 100 MW solar power project. This win marks a significant milestone for SJVN’s clean energy ambitions and strengthens its project portfolio.

  • SJVN bagged the full quoted capacity of 100 MW with a tariff of Rs 2.54/unit through a competitive bidding process.
  • The project will be developed by SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) at a cost of Rs 550 crore in Khavda, Gujarat.

With this addition, SJVN’s total project portfolio now stands at 59,872 MW. The company remains committed to its “New Mission” of achieving 12,000 MW by 2026 and its “Shared Vision” of reaching 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040.
