The Leader of the Opposition in the Himachal assembly, Jairam Thakur, expressed his intention to launch an attack on the state government during the upcoming assembly session. Thakur criticized the Congress government for its failure to provide relief to the people affected by the monsoon disaster, as well as its inability to rehabilitate those affected by the tragedy. He urged everyone to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections during the introduction meeting of the new executive committee of Joginder Nagar Mandal BJP.

The monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly is scheduled to take place from 18th to 25th September. The session, which has been delayed by approximately a month due to the disaster, is being eagerly anticipated. The Himachal Pradesh Assembly Secretariat has already received over 250 questions from members, with a majority of them focusing on disaster relief and rescue efforts. Additionally, legislators have raised concerns regarding road, electricity, and drinking water schemes.
