Strict Monitoring to Curb Illegal Mining in Yamuna River and Other Areas in Faridabad

The Haryana government has intensified monitoring efforts to curb illegal mining activities in the Yamuna River and other areas in Faridabad district. In compliance with the directives of K.M. Pandurang, Director General of the Mining Department, a vigilant approach is being maintained to ensure strict action against vehicles transporting minerals without valid e-Ravana bills. The mining department’s teams are conducting continuous inspections, ensuring adherence to regulations and taking prompt action against violators.

District Mining Officer Kamlesh Bidhlan herself is actively inspecting various parts of the Yamuna River to prevent illegal mining. She emphasized that the department’s teams are consistently monitoring to ensure that no unauthorized extraction of minerals takes place in the district. The inspection teams are stationed at national and state highways, as well as other key routes, to verify the compliance of mineral-transporting vehicles. As of now, no instances of illegal mining have been detected, but the officer assured that any violation of norms would be dealt with immediately.

Officer Bidhlan highlighted that the entire district, along with the state, is witnessing a rigorous inspection campaign in accordance with the directives issued by DG K.M. Pandurang. The primary objective of this campaign is to prevent illegal mining and ensure that no mineral-laden vehicle moves without a proper e-Ravana bill. The mining department’s teams are working round the clock, maintaining a strong presence across various locations to enforce these regulations.
