On May 29, 2023, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi last night . The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various common issues between the two states.

 

One of the key topics discussed was the provision of electric supply for the upcoming Bulk Drug Park in Una district. Chief Minister Sukhu sought the support of the Bhakra Beas Management Board in ensuring an uninterrupted power supply to the park.

 

Additionally, the water sharing agreements for the Renuka and Kishau hydro projects were addressed during the meeting. Both Chief Ministers emphasized the need for expeditious completion of these projects.

 

Another significant point of discussion was the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Delhi and Himachal Pradesh governments regarding the sharing of Yamuna river water. The Chief Ministers expressed their intention to hold high-level discussions on this matter.

 

Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena and Principal Private Secretary to the Chief Minister Vivek Bhatia accompanied Chief Minister Sukhu during the meeting with Chief Minister Kejriwal.
