THDC India Limited Concludes Hindi Fortnight with Award Ceremony
Rishikesh, 30.09.2024: Shri R.K. Banoai, Director (Finance) and Corporate Affairs, congratulated all the winners of various competitions held during the Hindi Fortnight and those awarded under the incentive schemes at the closing ceremony and award distribution function of Hindi Fortnight organized at THDC India Limited. He urged all the employees to do more and more official work in Hindi. Earlier, on 14 September 2024, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Shri Banoai had appealed to all the employees to take interest and enthusiasm in doing work in Hindi. Congratulating all the employees of THDC India Limited for the “Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar” awarded by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, he said that we should continue to enhance our efforts so that we can achieve similar milestones in future as well.
The Hindi Fortnight was celebrated at THDC in September 2024. The closing ceremony and award distribution function was organized today under the chairmanship of Shri Shailendra Singh, Director (Operations). The program was inaugurated after a lunch. Shri Singh, with his own hands, awarded the officials and employees for their participation in the competitions held during the Hindi Fortnight and under the various incentive schemes implemented in the corporation.
In his address at the function, Director (Operations), Shri Shailendra Singh said that it is a matter of pride that the corporation has been awarded the first Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on 14 September 2024. This prestigious award is a testimony to the fact that THDC is moving towards excellence in human resource management. He congratulated all the employees for this and appealed to all the employees to be inspired and motivated by this great achievement and work unitedly with dedication for national unity and integrity and ensure that all employees do their official work in Hindi by following the guidelines of the Department of Official Language. Senior officials and employees from the corporate office were present in large numbers at the function.
Shri Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Deputy General Manager (Official Language), who was conducting the program, informed about the programs and activities organized during the Hindi Fortnight. In the Hindi essay competition organized during the Hindi Fortnight, Smt. Karan Singh, Geologist, won the first prize, Shri Anand Kumar Aawal, Manager, won the first prize in the translation competition, Shri Ritesh Sharma, Deputy Manager, won the first prize in the slogan competition, Smt. Nidhi Jaiswal, Assistant, won the first prize in the elocution competition, and Smt. Amrita Rathore, Officer, won the first prize in the creative writing competition. In the Hindi e-mail competition organized separately for executives and non-executives, Shri Shubhanshi Mani Tripathi, Assistant Manager, and Shri Gabbar Singh Bagri, Assistant, won the first prize in the executive and non-executive categories respectively. During the fortnight, a Rajbhasha Hindi and General Knowledge quiz competition was also organized for the member institutions of the Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee, in which Shri Vijay Bhatia of BHEL Haridwar won the first prize.
Along with this, employees were also awarded under various incentive schemes. In the category of departments doing excellent work in Hindi, Shri Ishwar Dutt Utgikar, Additional General Manager, HRD, won the first prize, in the category of maximum budget, Shri Mukesh Verma, Additional General Manager (HR-Budget), won the first prize, Shri Shiv Prasad Ayas, Assistant Manager (HR) and Shri S.S. Rangad, Officer (HR) won the first prize for not writing any notes in Hindi from the original copy. On this occasion, 10 Hindi nodal officers who ensured excellent implementation of Rajbhasha in their respective departments were also awarded. Five best writings of the corporation’s Rajbhasha magazine “Pehal” were also awarded in this program. The HRD section was awarded the Inter-Departmental Moving Rajbhasha Trophy.
