A total of 1,69,787 students from 283 schools across Uttarakhand enthusiastically participated in the competition, surpassing the previous year’s participation of 1,50,388 students. This remarkable response demonstrates the growing engagement of students in energy conservation initiatives.

He presented First, Second, and Third Prizes of Rs. 50,000/-, Rs. 30,000/-, and Rs. 20,000/-, along with 10 consolation awards of Rs. 7,500/- to winners in both Group A (Class 5th, 6th, and 7th) and Group B (Class 8th, 9th, and 10th).

The competition’s themes, “One Earth, Many Efforts” and “LiFE – Mindful and Deliberate Utilization, Instead of Mindless and Destructive Consumption,” resonated with the participants’ paintings, reflecting the urgent need for responsible energy practices. Sh. Singh emphasized that children, as the future of the nation, should inculcate and champion these principles.

The first three winners from each group will advance to the National Level Painting Competition to be held in New Delhi. Sh. Singh also shared the previous year’s achievement, where a Uttarakhand student secured the First Prize in the National Level Painting Competition under Group A Category.
