“The Himachal Pradesh Congress Government Marks One-Year Anniversary with Announcements for Women and Farmers”

The Congress-led government in Himachal Pradesh commemorated its one-year anniversary at Dharamshala’s police ground. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu unveiled a significant initiative during the celebration –for women above 18 in Lahaul Spiti district. Starting from the new year, these women will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 1500, with plans for phased implementation across all districts.

Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized the need for bold decisions to depart from conventional governance, expressing optimism that Himachal Pradesh would become the world’s most prosperous state within the next decade.

Sukhu highlighted the government’s accomplishments, citing the fulfillment of three guarantees. He pledged to fulfill three more in the upcoming budget, including the initiation of cow dung purchase from farmers at Rs 2 per unit from January. The government undertaking Milkfed will also increase its purchase rate of milk from Rs 31 to Rs 37 per liter, starting January, providing a Rs 6 increment. A solar scheme is on the horizon, where farmers providing three bighas of land will receive a monthly subsidy of Rs 30,000.

In a separate event in Dharamshala, Pratibha Singh, HPCC President and Lok Sabha MP, addressed a Congress rally. She recounted her efforts to seek special assistance from Prime Minister Modi after the rain disaster, expressing disappointment at the lack of help. She said that all the other MPs from the state did not accompany her to seek help from PM Modi. Pratibha Singh assured the public that the state government, led by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh, would fulfill promises gradually. Rajiv Shukla, Congress in-charge for Himachal, criticized Modi for not visiting the state after the monsoon disaster, alleging biased assistance to states under BJP rule. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri highlighted the consistent demand for OROP, stating that only Congress could fulfill such promises, contrasting the BJP’s legacy of leaving a debt of Rs 92 thousand crores.
