Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today hit out at the opposition parties for playing politics on the natural calamity and said that at this time he is busy in providing immediate relief to the Punjabis and when the time is right, the statements of the opponents will be answered.
While talking to the journalists on the occasion of visiting the flood affected areas of Patiala district today, the Chief Minister said, “I promise that after a few days I will give you a proper answer to your questions, but you did not talk about public issues at that time.” run away ”
The Chief Minister said that it is surprising that when he (the Chief Minister) is supporting the flood-affected Punjabis, the opposition parties are playing politics on this sensitive occasion. He said that it is very shameful that the opposition leaders have fallen to such a low level that they do not stop spreading misinformation in this time of crisis. Bhagwant Mann said that when the security of the people of the state was ensured, then he would give a befitting reply to the useless and rejected political opponents.

Challenging the opponents, the Chief Minister said, “I am also responsible for the rapid flow of water in the state from the mountains. You are criticizing me just for playing politics but the people of Punjab will not forgive you.” The Chief Minister said that these leaders never cared about Punjab but at this time when Punjabis are in crisis, these people They are eager to make political gains.

The Chief Minister said that those who are bragging that the Center has released 218 crore rupees, they should remember that these funds were released on July 10. He said that the state government cannot spend this amount in 72 hours because the government had already taken necessary efforts to minimize the loss. Bhagwant Mann said that cleaning of Ghaggar was also done well like other sewers in the state.

The Chief Minister said that the state will not beg for financial assistance from the central government but will definitely send a report on the estimate of damage caused by the floods. He said that due to the flood, the state has suffered heavy damage and it will be assessed in the coming days. Bhagwant Maan said that if the center helps the state, then it is fine, but the state itself is capable of managing it.

The Chief Minister said that this time the water had reached the tails due to the subsequent cleaning of the canals and drains. By the way, Bhagwant Mann said that incessant rains in Punjab and the neighboring hill states have wreaked havoc in Punjab, but the state government is ensuring all kinds of help to the people in this hour of crisis.
The Chief Minister said that although there has been less rain in Punjab, a lot of water has come down from the mountains and has affected Punjab a lot. Bhagwant Maan said, “Punjabis have the gift of staying in the art of every difficulty, which is why they have been standing for centuries. In this difficult time, Punjabis have set an example of brotherhood and goodwill by helping each other.

The Chief Minister said that states like Himachal Pradesh and Haryana always demand water and cess from Punjab, but now they are not ready to keep more water. He said that these states are diverting their excess water towards the state, causing a huge loss to Punjab. Bhagwant Mann said that it is a matter of surprise that now these states are completely silent on their share of water from Punjab and are sending wasteful water to us to ruin the state.

The Chief Minister said that he is keeping a close watch on the situation across the state and is also getting information from the officials posted in the affected areas. Bhagwant Maan said that it is the duty of the state government to help people in this difficult time and no stone is left unturned for this noble cause. He said that assistance is being provided to every person in remote areas of the state.

The Chief Minister said that special emphasis is being given to ensure relief in the most affected areas of the state so that people do not face any kind of problem. Bhagwant Mann said that priority is being given to complete the rescue and relief work in the badly affected areas of the state. He said that all the dams in the state are safe and the water is flowing below the danger mark.
