
Tragedy Strikes at Village Jadon, Kandaghat, Solan, in Himachal Pradesh as Cloud Burst Triggers Landslide

In a devastating incident at Village Jadon, located in the Dhawla Sub-Tehsil of Mamligh, Himachal Pradesh, a cloud burst led to a landslide that caused extensive damage. Two houses and a cowshed were swept away by the force of nature, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The incident resulted in six tragic casualties, leaving the community in mourning.
The list of the deceased includes:
1. Harnam Singh, aged 38, son of Rati Ram
2. Khem Lata, aged 34, wife of Harnam Singh
3. Rahul, aged 13, son of Harnam Singh
4. Neha, aged 11, daughter of Harnam Singh
5. Kamal Kishore, aged 38, son of Bhagat Ram
6. Gaurav, aged 9, son of Kamal Kishore
7. Raksha, aged 12, daughter of Kamal Kishore
Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries and is currently being transported to the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla for medical treatment.
The incident not only claimed human lives but also resulted in livestock loss. As a result of the landslide, 14 goats and 2 sheep were buried under debris, adding to the tragedy that befell the village.
The weather condition in Himachal Pradesh remains dire, with people grappling with numerous challenges. The region is grappling with a series of landslides that have led to road closures, severely impacting connectivity and daily life for residents.
