Transport Department conducting prize money song competition on road safety

The Transport Department in Dharamshala is organizing a song competition to raise awareness about road safety among the general public. The competition aims to engage Road Safety Clubs established in schools and colleges across the district. Participants are encouraged to create a musical song with a duration of 4 to 5 minutes on the theme of ‘Road Safety’ in Hindi, Pahari (local dialect), or English languages.

Interested individuals can submit their songs via email to the official address leadagencyrschp@gmail.com before July 31, 2023.

RTO Dharamshala, Pradeep Kumar, mentioned that cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the first three positions in each language category. The winners will receive Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000, and Rs 10,000 respectively.

The selected songs will be used by the Transport Department for public awareness campaigns, helping to promote road safety in the region. This competition provides an opportunity for participants to showcase their talent and contribute to a crucial cause by spreading awareness and encouraging responsible behavior on the roads.
