Two Haryana boys died due to drowning in Kangra’s Nandrul Khad

Dharamshala, May 19 (Arvind Sharma).

Two youths died due to drowning in a accident in Nandrul stream on Friday in Kangra assembly constituency on Friday .

Madan Lal Dhiman DSP Kangra said that Both the youths who drowned were residents of Kurukshetra in Haryana. The deceased have been identified as 24-year-old Mohammad Sahil s/o Mohammad Yameen and 21-year-old Mahfooz Ali s/o Mahmood Ali of village Shadipur, post office Urmi tehsil and district Kurukshetra, Haryana.

Police informed that both had come to work as carpenters in Canara Bank Branch of Nandrul Panchayat. Deceased went to take a bath with two other friends. While taking a bath, a young man went into deep water and started drowning, another young man tried to save him, but he too drowned.

On the other hand, DSP Kangra Madan Lal Dhiman told that on the information of the people Kangra police has reached the spot. The local people have taken out the dead bodies of both the youths from the ravine. The police have registered a case and further action is being taken. The police have also informed the relatives of the deceased. After which the post-mortem of their dead bodies will be done.
