Warring condemns banning Jenny Johal song seeking justice for Moosewala

Chandigarh , October 9:

Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today condemned the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab for banning the broadcast of Jenny Johal’s latest song, “Letter to CM” in which she seeks justice for slain singer Sidhu Moosewala.

“The AAP government is following in the footsteps of its parent party, the BJP which also banned songs raising people’s voice”, Warring said in a statement here today.

The PCC president said, instead of taking note of the issues raised in the song and addressing them, the AAP government has acted in an authoritarian way. “But they are badly mistaken that blocking or banning a song can stop it from reaching the people”, he said, while adding, the song will be more popular as it has tried to raise the voice for justice to late Moosewala.
