Haryana BJP to Launch “Gaon Chalo, Basti Chalo” Campaign Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit; Swachhta Drive on April 13

Rohtak, April 5, 2025 — As part of its grassroots outreach strategy, the Haryana BJP is set to launch a state-wide campaign titled “Gaon Chalo, Basti Chalo”, aimed at spreading the party’s policies and strengthening public engagement across rural and urban settlements. The announcement was made by Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli during a press briefing in Rohtak on Saturday.

Badoli stated that ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Haryana on April 14, the BJP will conduct a special cleanliness drive on April 13 at the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, with active participation from party workers. The initiative is seen as a tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of equality and social justice.

Mass Mobilization for PM Modi’s April 14 Visit

Badoli further revealed that during the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit:

  • Party workers from 15 districts will gather in Hisar, where PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate Hisar Airport and address a public rally.

  • Simultaneously, workers from 12 districts will be present in Yamunanagar, where the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a new thermal power unit.

He added that 27 district presidents, as per the party’s current organizational structure, will also be present in Yamunanagar, further boosting the party’s internal coordination and grassroots presence.

24×7 Power Supply Announcement Expected

Badoli hinted that Haryana could receive multiple major gifts from the Centre during the PM’s visit, including a likely announcement related to 24-hour electricity supply across the state — a key demand from residents.

BJP State Office Shifting to Panchkula for Better Coordination

In a strategic move to improve governance and connectivity, Badoli announced that the BJP’s state headquarters will shift from Rohtak to Panchkula, bringing it closer to Chandigarh and enhancing coordination with central leadership and government departments.

Badoli on Waqf Bill, Congress Criticism, and National Issues

Responding to questions on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, Badoli said the bill will pave the way for justice for poor Muslims and Sikhs, while also curbing corruption within the Waqf Board. He took a strong dig at the Congress, accusing the party of having a tendency to drag every developmental initiative into the courts for political gain.

Regarding reports of animal remains found in a boundary wall under construction in Hisar, he dismissed the controversy as misinformation spread by the opposition.

On a somber note, Badoli expressed grief over the martyrdom of an Indian Air Force soldier from Rewari, calling it an irreparable loss for the nation, and assured the martyr’s family of the BJP’s unwavering support during this difficult time.
