An Indian origin Rishi Sunak is UK New Prime minister

Rishi Sunak, 42-year-old former chancellor, a devout Hindu, is poised to be the next Prime minister of United States on Tuesday when he will be taking the oath in Buckingham Palace.

He was elected unopposed as the new leader of the governing Conservative Party on Diwali as Penny Mordaunt withdrew from the race.

Penny received less votes compared to Rishi Sunak who was elected leader.

He will be the first Hindu prime minister of Indian heritage, and also the youngest prime minister for around 200 years at the age of 42 years.
