CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Unveils Poetry Book “Buransh: The Fragrance of Words” by Educator-Poetess Anupama Sharma in Shimla

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on Saturday evening in Shimla, released a compelling poetry collection titled “Buransh: The Fragrance of Words”, penned by young poetess and educator Anupama Sharma. Currently serving as a lecturer of English at Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Hamirpur, Anupama Sharma has received praise for capturing the emotional depth and complexity of human experience through her writing.

The Chief Minister commended the poetess for her heartfelt expressions, noting that the collection vividly portrays a wide spectrum of emotions including the pain of broken relationships, the isolation of self-introspection, and the hope for renewal amidst the soothing embrace of nature. According to him, the poetry resonates with the essence of human emotions and offers readers a poetic journey through the inner self, exploring solitude, longing, and personal transformation.

The 56-page book, published by Satluj Publications and priced at ₹150, comprises 39 evocative poems that blend lyrical sensitivity with profound introspection. What adds a meaningful dimension to the publication is that the proceeds from its sale will be donated to the Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashraya Yojana, a scheme focused on welfare and social support. This gesture reflects the poetess’s social consciousness and her desire to contribute to the betterment of society through her art.

Apart from her literary pursuits, Anupama Sharma is known for her enthusiasm for adventure, including biking, trekking, and sports. Her strong connection with nature breathes life into her poetry, allowing readers to experience the beauty of the natural world alongside the emotional narratives she weaves.

The release ceremony was graced by the presence of several senior state leaders including Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, who applauded the young poetess for her literary contribution and commitment to both education and creative arts.
