Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry Donates Rs 26 Lakh to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

In a remarkable display of social responsibility, the scientists and staff of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, came together to contribute their one-day salary to the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. A cheque amounting to Rs 26 lakh was presented to the Honorable Chief Minister, Shri Sukhvinder Singh, at a ceremony held in Shimla today.

 

Led by Vice Chancellor Prof Rajeshwar Singh Chandel, a university delegation and representatives from all the associations of university employees gathered to present the generous donation to the Chief Minister. The employees of UHF Nauni voluntarily donated their one day’s salary, demonstrating their commitment to supporting those in need.

 

Present on the occasion were Dr. BS Dilta, President of UHF Teachers Association; Lalit Bhardwaj, President of Non-Teachers Employees Welfare Association; Dr Kishori Lal, President of Farm Technocrats Association; Ram Swaroop, President of Personal Staff Association; Chunni Lal, President of Technical Employees Welfare Association; and Ravi Dutt, President of Technical and Class 4 Employees Union.

 

The Chief Minister expressed his deep appreciation for the noble gesture of the university employees. Their selfless act of contributing to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund will undoubtedly aid in providing assistance to those affected by various challenges and hardships.

 

This substantial donation not only highlights the dedication and compassion of the Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni community but also serves as an inspiration for others to come forward and contribute towards the welfare of society.
