Every transfer order of employees will have to be made public in Himachal Pradesh:

State Chief Information Commissioner RD Dhiman has issued guidelines to the Secretary of Administrative Reforms, directing that every transfer order of employees must be made public. This move is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in the transfer process.

The guidelines state that all transfer orders must be uploaded on the website of the department concerned within 24 hours of their issuance. The orders must also be displayed on the notice boards of all offices under the department.

The guidelines also state that any person aggrieved by a transfer order can file an appeal with the Chief Information Commissioner within 30 days of the issuance of the order.

The decision to make all transfer orders public is a welcome step. It will help to reduce corruption and favouritism in the transfer process. It will also make it easier for employees to challenge arbitrary transfer orders.
