Haryana Budget 2026–27 to Reflect People’s Needs, Trust and Future Aspirations: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said that the state’s Budget for the year 2026–27 will be people-centric, forward-looking and firmly rooted in public expectations, trust and welfare. Emphasising that development must be visible on the ground, the Chief Minister said the government’s priority is to ensure that budgetary provisions translate into tangible benefits for citizens within a fixed timeframe.

The Chief Minister was chairing a high-level review meeting at Haryana Niwas with ministers and senior officials of key departments to assess the implementation status of announcements and schemes included in the previous year’s budget. He stated that the upcoming budget would focus on inclusive growth, administrative efficiency, technological innovation and optimal utilisation of resources, so that development reaches every section of society.

Saini said the 2026–27 budget would be centred on public aspirations and the welfare of all sections of society. Continuous consultations and detailed discussions are being held with officers and stakeholders to ensure that every aspect is examined thoroughly before finalising the budget framework.

During the meeting, Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar, Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goyal, Cooperation Minister Dr Arvind Sharma, Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhry, Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao and Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam were present.

A comprehensive review was conducted of departments including Education, Development and Panchayats, Health, Medical Education, AYUSH, Women and Child Development, Urban Local Bodies, Revenue, Mines and Geology, Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Cooperation, Prisons, Heritage and Tourism, and Sports.

Addressing the officials, the Chief Minister stressed that since the government is working in the public interest, all officers must function with a strong sense of service and accountability. He underlined that budget announcements and programmes must be implemented at the ground level within stipulated timelines, as the government remains answerable to the people.

Saini reiterated that improving quality and strengthening service delivery in sectors such as education, healthcare, women and child development, water resources, urban and rural development, infrastructure and social welfare remain the government’s core commitments. He said the budget would aim not only to accelerate the pace of development but also to ensure social justice and balanced progress across the state.

He further stated that to make the budget-making process more inclusive, transparent and result-oriented, the government is engaging in sustained dialogue with various departments and sections of society. The use of information technology and artificial intelligence will be enhanced for effective monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of government schemes.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the 2026–27 budget would open new avenues of development for Haryana and play a significant role in bringing positive change to the lives of every citizen.
