
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Emphasizes Youth Empowerment and Nation-Building

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini underscored the vital role of youth in shaping the future of the nation, describing them as the strong foundation upon which India’s progress rests. Speaking at an event at the auditorium of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology in Faridabad, he highlighted the importance of youth adopting a positive and nationalistic outlook, not just in academics but also in driving social change and contributing to nation-building.
He expressed his deep appreciation for the talent, dedication, and hard work of Haryana’s youth, recognizing them as some of the most promising individuals in the country. The Chief Minister emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving world, young people are not only absorbing knowledge but also actively participating in shaping society. He pointed out that over the past 75 years, nationalist organizations have made significant sacrifices to preserve the unity and integrity of India, and the 75th anniversary of the Constitution is being celebrated nationwide under the “Our Constitution, Our Pride” campaign. He drew parallels between this national unity and the cultural harmony witnessed at the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, where young people have turned out in unprecedented numbers, reflecting their growing awareness of and commitment to Indian culture and heritage.
The Chief Minister recalled the grand celebrations surrounding the consecration of Lord Ram in the newly built Ram Temple in Ayodhya, an event that resonated not only across India but throughout the world. He remarked that the Deepavali celebrations during this historic moment saw immense participation from youth, symbolizing their deep-rooted connection to India’s traditions. Quoting a poetic verse, he urged young people to walk forward with unity, inclusivity, and a vision for a stronger nation. He emphasized that a country’s future depends on its young generation and that India, having the world’s largest youth population, holds a significant responsibility to channel their energy in the right direction. He reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India, built on four fundamental pillars—youth empowerment, women empowerment, support for farmers, and strengthening the middle and lower-income groups. He emphasized that young people are the primary driving force behind a developed India, and Haryana is playing a crucial role in this vision.
Highlighting the achievements of the BJP government, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that in its third consecutive term, the Haryana government has been committed to providing youth with ample opportunities. Over the past decade, the government has worked tirelessly to create an environment that allows young people to excel. It has implemented the New Education Policy to modernize learning and has introduced the PM Vishwakarma Yojana to support artisans and skilled workers. In a significant move towards skill development, the state has established India’s first Shri Vishwakarma University, aimed at equipping youth with industry-relevant skills.
Acknowledging the aspirations of young people, the Chief Minister assured that the government stands by them in every endeavor—be it education, skill development, entrepreneurship, or even opportunities abroad. He reaffirmed the government’s unwavering support in helping young individuals achieve their goals, ensuring that every effort is made to provide them with the resources they need. Over the past ten years, Haryana has provided over 1.75 lakh government jobs purely on the basis of merit, without any bribes or favoritism. The state now aims to provide two lakh more government jobs in its third term, reinforcing its commitment to employment generation.
To provide job security and safeguard employees, the Haryana Skill Employment Corporation has been established, ensuring that individuals remain employed until the age of 58 without fear of termination. Recognizing the challenges faced by youth seeking employment overseas, the government has taken proactive steps to prevent fraudulent agents from exploiting them. A dedicated Foreign Cooperation Department has been established to assist students and professionals in securing educational and job opportunities abroad. Furthermore, the government has started issuing passports free of cost in colleges, with over 35,000 students having already benefited from this initiative.
Expanding job prospects in the private sector, the Haryana government has collaborated with approximately 258 industries under the Dual System of Training to provide hands-on industrial training to young professionals. With a vision to make every young individual financially independent and skilled by 2030, the government has launched several initiatives, including MSQF in schools, Pehal Yojana in colleges, incubation centers in universities, and industry partnerships for technical institutions. To further strengthen education, the Higher Education Council has been established, and Haryana has witnessed the establishment of 10 new universities and 52 new government colleges, including 31 dedicated to women’s education.
The Chief Minister also addressed a pressing concern among the youth—substance abuse. He stressed the need for young individuals to resist drug addiction and actively help their peers break free from its grip. Highlighting the state’s commitment to tackling this issue, he stated that Haryana is working closely with saints, social organizations, and community institutions to raise awareness and combat drug abuse. In addition, the government is promoting sports and extracurricular activities to keep young people engaged and away from harmful influences. He expressed confidence in the immense potential of Haryana’s youth and assured that the government would continue to provide all possible resources and support to help them shine.
Haryana’s commitment to its youth remains unwavering, and with initiatives focused on education, skill development, employment, and cultural awareness, the state is actively shaping a brighter and more prosperous future for its young generation.
