Himachal Pradesh to Host Shimla Flying Festival in October

The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department and ‘The Glide Inn’ organization will jointly organize the Shimla Flying Festival at Junga near Shimla from October 12 to 15, 2023.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released the teaser of the festival on Wednesday evening. He said that the state government was promoting adventure tourism in a big way and the Shimla Flying Festival would surely add to its attraction.

The Chief Minister said that the tourism activities in the state were hindered badly due to heavy rains, landslides, and floods during the monsoon season. However, the state government had worked on a war footing to recover from the natural calamity and was now ready to welcome tourists to enjoy all sorts of activities and adventure sports.

The Shimla Flying Festival is expected to attract tourists from all over India and abroad. It will feature a variety of activities, including paragliding competitions, aerobatic displays, and workshops.
