Punjab Winter Vacation 2024: Schools to Remain Closed from December 24

Since the second week of December, a noticeable shift in the weather has been observed across various states. In regions like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and several others, cold winds and fog have started to take over. As winter sets in, many schools are gearing up for winter vacations, with most set to begin by next week. December marks the anticipation of winter holidays for students, and several states have already released their vacation schedules, while others are making decisions based on weather conditions.

In Punjab, the winter vacation for 2024 has been officially announced. Schools across the state will remain closed from December 24 to December 31, 2024. With the weather being a significant factor, it is possible that the holidays may be extended. Traditionally, schools in Punjab remain closed until the first or second week of January each year.

Various states have issued their winter vacation schedules. While some states have decided on a break of 8 days, others will have schools closed for 15 days or more. In regions where temperatures are dropping, winter vacations are often extended. States like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and others frequently extend winter holidays up to January.
