The spirit of patriotism surged in Dharamshala on Thursday as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Himachal Pradesh organized a rally as part of its ongoing statewide Tiranga Yatra. Held at the district headquarters of Kangra, the event drew massive participation from senior party leaders, elected representatives, and enthusiastic supporters.

The rally was graced by Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, who attended as the chief guest. BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal presided over the program, which saw a strong turnout of prominent leaders including former Speaker Vipin Parmar, Lok Sabha MP and State Vice President Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, MLAs and State Vice Presidents Pawan Kajal, Ranveer Singh Nikka, and Sudhir Sharma, State General Secretary Trilok Kapoor, former ministers Sarveen Chaudhary and Rakesh Pathania, former MLA Arun Mehra, and senior leaders Moolkharaj Premi, Rita Dhiman, and Ravindra Dhiman.

Addressing the media  Jairam Thakur underscored the significance of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a bold and historic counter-terrorism operation that redefined India’s defense posture. “Operation Sindoor is not over—it’s a strategic pause. Questions raised on it are premature and unwarranted,” he asserted.

He outlined the five strategic objectives of the mission:

Neutralizing deeply embedded terrorist bases.

Eliminating high-value terrorist targets.

Dismantling infrastructure supporting terrorism.

Ensuring zero civilian casualties.

Avoiding conflict with Pakistan’s military, reaffirming the operation’s focus on terrorism—not war.

Thakur revealed that Indian forces successfully destroyed nine terrorist hideouts, including five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK) and four in Pakistan’s territory, marking a rare strike deep into Pakistan’s Punjab province. He described this incursion into high-security zones as a landmark military achievement, targeting key training camps of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal further praised Operation Sindoor as a watershed moment in India’s military history, showcasing the country’s technological edge and strategic finesse. “Our armed forces demonstrated precision and valor by striking over 30 Pakistani air bases and multiple terror hubs without physically crossing the border,” he stated.

Dr. Bindal highlighted the operation’s reliance on “Non-Contact Warfare”, a doctrine emphasizing high-impact remote strikes to minimize troop risk and civilian harm. He attributed this evolution in defense capability to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has significantly invested in upgrading the nation’s military infrastructure and empowering the armed forces with state-of-the-art weaponry.

The Tiranga Yatra, echoing themes of nationalism, unity, and strength, concluded with resounding chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and a collective vow to uphold India’s sovereignty and honor.
