SJVN Observes Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with the Theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”

SJVN Limited has commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from 27th October to 2nd November 202 across all its Projects and Units, in line with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and under the guidance of Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN.

The week-long observance began at the Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, where Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, administered the Integrity Pledge to all employees, marking the formal inauguration of the campaign.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Sharma highlighted that observing Vigilance Awareness Week each year not only strengthens ethical values within the organisation but also reinforces the importance of transparency and accountability in personal and professional conduct. He emphasized that collective participation in vigilance initiatives is crucial to fighting corruption and fostering a culture of integrity across all levels of society.

On this occasion, Sh. Manmeet Gupta, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Dy. CVO), SJVN, along with other senior officials, were also present. The Integrity Pledge was simultaneously administered across all Projects and Units of SJVN, ensuring the active involvement of employees company-wide.

In addition to the week-long observance, SJVN is currently conducting a three-month-long Vigilance Awareness Campaign from 18th August to 17th November 2025, focusing on preventive vigilance measures and awareness-building activities.

Throughout the Vigilance Awareness Week, various in-house and outreach programmes such as capacity-building sessions, quizzes, painting and rangoli competitions, walkathons, and declamation contests are being organised across SJVN’s Projects and Units. These initiatives aim to engage employees, students, and local communities in promoting ethical awareness and contributing to the vision of a corruption-free India.

The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week coincides with the birth anniversary of **Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel**, honouring his enduring legacy of integrity, unity, and nation-building.

The theme for Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 — “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” — underscores the collective duty of individuals and institutions to uphold integrity, transparency, and good governance in building a stronger, corruption-free nation.
