BJP Suspends Four Workers Over ‘Anti-Party Activities’ in Solan Civic Polls

Bharatiya Janata Party in Himachal Pradesh has suspended four party workers for allegedly contesting against official BJP candidates and engaging in activities considered harmful to the party during the Solan Municipal Corporation elections.

The action was taken after the party’s disciplinary committee reviewed complaints received from district and mandal units regarding indiscipline during the ongoing local body elections.

According to a statement issued by the BJP state office, Dr. Rajeev Bindal approved the suspension of the workers from the party’s primary membership with immediate effect under the provisions of the party constitution.

Those suspended include Gaurav Rajput from Ward No. 3, Rajni Rajput, as well as Rampal and Mukesh Verma from Ward No. 7.

The BJP said the party follows a strict policy on organisational discipline and would not tolerate workers contesting against officially nominated candidates or participating in anti-party activities.

Party leaders described the BJP as a cadre-based organisation where collective decisions and party interests are considered above individual ambitions. They urged workers to remain united and work for the victory of BJP-backed candidates in the Solan Municipal Corporation elections.

The party also expressed confidence that voters in Solan would support what it described as development-oriented and transparent governance in the upcoming civic polls.
