Kurukshetra, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today urged citizens to draw profound inspiration from the illustrious legacy of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, emphasizing her life as a guiding light for contributing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. Speaking at a grand state-level celebration of the 300th birth anniversary of the revered Maratha queen in Pipli, Kurukshetra, CM Saini also made significant announcements, including the construction of a museum and a ceremonial gateway dedicated to Ahilyabai Holkar in Haryana.
Chief Minister Saini lauded Ahilyabai Holkar as an extraordinary symbol of “woman power” who courageously shattered societal barriers during an era that largely denied women education and autonomy. He highlighted her unparalleled commitment to social service, justice, and the welfare of all sections of society, irrespective of caste or creed. Saini stressed that emulating her values of championing girls’ education, promoting gender equality, and engaging in selfless social service are crucial steps for every citizen to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress and realize the ambitious goal of a developed India.
To immortalize her immense contributions and inspire future generations, CM Saini announced that a museum dedicated to Ahilyabai Holkar will be constructed on a two-acre land parcel in Haryana. This museum will serve as an educational hub, where youth can delve into her life, learn about her visionary administrative policies, her efforts in rebuilding major Hindu pilgrimage sites across the country (including Kashi Vishwanath, Somnath, Mathura, Ayodhya, Badrinath, and Rameshwaram), and her unwavering dedication to justice and dharma. Additionally, with the consensus of the Pal-Gaderia community, a ceremonial gateway in her name will be built in a suitable city or village, serving as a constant reminder of her enduring legacy and the values she stood for. The Chief Minister also pledged a grant of ₹31 lakh from his discretionary fund for the Pal-Gaderia Dharamshala in Kurukshetra, with other state ministers and MPs, including Krishan Lal Panwar and Naveen Jindal, each pledging ₹11 lakh, underscoring collective support for community welfare.

In the realm of healthcare, the Ayushman Bharat-Chirayu scheme remains a cornerstone, offering free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh to over 20 lakh patients, including senior citizens, ensuring access to quality healthcare for all. The Dayalu Yojana provides crucial financial aid to low-income families in cases of death or disability, offering a safety net during unforeseen tragedies. To uplift backward communities, the state has established a dedicated commission, increased the reservation quota to 27% in education and government jobs, and raised the creamy layer income cap from ₹6 lakh to ₹8 lakh, promoting social mobility and equal opportunities. Educational incentives for girls include free schooling up to Class 12, scholarships, and waived university fees, empowering them through education.
